I had planned to spend the entire "Puja" this year at Cologne, but decided suddenly on Tuesday night to return earlier. On Wednesday, I drove (almost) non-stop to Voorschoten, and thus also saw the play.

It was very well done, I particularly enjoyed the crisp dialogues and the occasional subtle humour. Through you, I would like to congratulate the whole group for their performance which surely reflects many days/hours of hard work.

Subho Bijoya from Groningen!

Could not help resist in letting you all know what a superb time we had on
Ashtami. Probably you will recall that we were quite a few participating in
the Ashtami celebrations from Groningen.

It would be no over exaggeration to say that on that day I was translated to
the my home-para Pujo mondop in Ballygunge for the greater part.

From the fact that the pujos were held exactly during the same days as in
Kolkata (as it should be), to the fact that it was done with neat precision,
to the fact that the entire hall resembled one big fraternity of happiness,
to the great cultural pgm everything was just that what a homesick Bangalee
yearns for during the pujos.
Let me take the opportunity to express my special appreciation to the
Chatterjee duo (apologize if I am mistaken with the names) for their
mesmerizing performance with 'Purba-Paschim' - for a moment I thought I was
listening to Bratati and Prithiwiraj themselves. The musical pgm (we were
there only until 08:45 pm) was wonderful.

Last but not least, a special word of appreciation to the very witty and
novel idea of the live telecast. Wonderful: is what I could say for that.

4)Arrangement for viewers was excellent.

+++ We had a wonderful time at the puja this time. Everything was so wonderfully managed, well-organised, you and the whole team of Kallol made it happen flawlessly. We loved everything there, from the atmosphere to the adda, to the programmes and of course the food. And the Natok was just fabulous. We do not personally know many of the artists (would like to know them though) but please do pass on our BIG congratulations and good wishes to them as well for staging such a grand play. We can imagine the hard work they put up in order to stage it for us. Its just unbelievable. Each one of them gave such effortless performances, its just beyond any words. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
We would try to participate the other events of KALLOL as well and if in anyway we can be of any help, would love to do that.

Please do retain this atmosphere of bengali homeliness and "sholo aana bangaliana". Being in an international environment means the presentation will need to take into consideration the environment - but let that only affect the language and form. It was a great initiative taken up by the Indian Bengali Association with a fantastic turn out of people. This is the first time that the Durga Puja has been held in the Netherlands, so we all can imagine the amount of work and organization that went into such an event. - Bridging the Gap

+++ First of all a big congratulations to Kallol for organising Durga Puja here in the midst of yellow fallen leaves and the chilly winds of the Netherlands...
At times it becomes hard to put emotions into words and having said that i am really struggling to find the right word to describe the wonderful sojourn of those three colourful days.
Everything was so perfect! Starting with the overwhelming welcome of the members to the decor of the hall and not to mention the gorgeous Durga pratima. The dhaak added more to the fervour of the ambience. Everything put together it was a wonderful package of craftsmanship, indian bengali hospitality, with a glimpse of love and warmth of affection and ofcourse the essentially traditional "pujor khabar", Not for a moment did we miss the Kolkata granduer and the pujo fever of our city of joy...!
May we give a three cheers to the team for overruling the pujo nostalgia of us -- the good old bengalis...

+++I had come to spend three months with my daughter and son -in-law Rupali and Tathagata Goswami in leidschenveen, The Hague. This year for the first time, the Durga Puja celebrations were held here, in The Netherlands and it was a wonderful experience for me to witness the festivities...the overall ambience, the essence of "bangaliana", food, cultural programme,adda, and the warmth and fellow feeling shared by everyone involved has left a very postive impact on me. Even though I have seen many of them for the first time, I felt as if it was a big family...barir pujor moton...
Every year,when the blue azure sky pronounced the footsteps of Durga Puja, I felt sad and melancholic for my children who are far away, unable to take part in the festive spirit back home. Now I am assured, after seeing the enjoyment during their puja in Netherlands, they could not have enjoyed more, even in Kolkata. My wishes and blessings will always be with the team, who organised this big event, and will hope every year, "Maa er agomon shobar jibone emoni anondodhara niye ashbe"...

+++ Well Its my badluck that I missed the Durga puga organised by u all..At the same time I was fortunate to b in Kolkata to spend the pujo.. But as i returned back, i heard from my friends and few known people that the pujo was organised fatafati. khuub gorgeous decorations, and dey never missed Kolkata for the first time..IT was totally a bangaliyana poribesh which attracted more!!
